Meadows & Head Start 'Rededication'
The Plano ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto welcome you to attend a “rededication” ceremony for Meadows Elementary School and Head Start at 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, September 21, at Meadows. The school serves 500 students in grades K-5 and 150 Head Start students. Meadows recently underwent a full renovation with funds from the 2004 Bond Program.  |

'Family Services Schools' Reach Out
On September 15, Jackson Elementary School faculty and staff skipped watching Monday night football in favor of launching a series of Monday evening meetings for Jackson families in need. Three schools are piloting the outreach program.  |

2008 State Counselor of the Year
Plano ISD Coordinator of Family Education and Guidance Services Lynda Shuttlesworth captured the 2008 Elementary Counselor of the Year Award to be presented by the Texas School Counselors Association on November 7 in Houston. |

- STAR Schools - Trustees heard an annual report from Mike Collinsworth, east cluster assistant superintendent, on student performance at the district’s six STAR Schools
